  A friend of mine that is the director of a local hospital lab passed
this on to me. There is a VERY simple way to tell if you have an 
infection and if the asthma is related to that infection. If you have 
a bacterial infection then you run a feavor. PERIOD! If you have a 
virus you don't. PERIOD! If you have a Rickettasc infection that is 
a large virus sometimes classed as a bacteria then you will run low 
grade feavors. PERIOD! 

  If you have a bacterial infection you will have a rased white count.
If you think that you might have an infection that isn't bacteria
have the doctor run a Gamagloblin test. Don't let the doctor talk
you out of it and if he won't run one then find another doctor.
