Hello Wayne. I am curious....what animals cost 1 to 2 million dollars? thanks. Faith G.

( just a question ) >> At 09:55 PM 4/7/2008, you wrote: There have been many unique obstacles encountered while undertaking this project and one of the chief ones was being able to measure sodium, potassium and chloride in sweat samples. This was eventually achieved by inventing a suite of prototype ionic biosensors. The pH of sweat is measured using a miniaturised pH sensor that detects tiny colour changes, whereas specific proteins in fluid samples are detected with an immunosensor that can be incorporated into the dressings put over wounds to the skin. The real question is, ............. if the fools doing this knows how a healthy body functions. First, .......... no salt in the sweat is not a problem, does not indicate a sodium deficiency, and likely some of the other minerals can be missing also in the sweat of a healthy person. The next big question, ........... Where did they find SIX healthy people to do any testing and analysis of the Sweat ? Next they will sense for $ 100.00 bills, contraband hardware, mood, party connection, your bank account number, and on and on. Sensing in one thing, but transmission of the data is another. Rest assured, two or three engineers, with a redneck to kick them in the rear, can defeat the transmitter with no problems. I know a little about sensors also. I studied them for a solid year in the past. ( not the kind in question here ) the main thing I learned, ( non technical ) is that a sensor made for the medical profession would cost $ 1000 to $ 2000 dollars. The same type sensor made for industrial use would cost $ 300 to $ 500. ( this usually included the signal conditioning circuit, and sometimes the type or output circuit desired. Not the full communication, as this was handled with RS-485, or RS 232. Two wire, 4 wire, full duplex, half duplex, and encrypted. This is so complex and confusing that many manufacturers state their product is one type when really it is another. Fortunately, I learned all this about 8 years before my main field of business converted many products to this type communication. I was prepared for the future. This was a lot of fun, hard work, and very rewarding. The knowledge I gained, and 100,000 hours of other studies is why I have a meeting with scientist this week to tell them the things they do not know. Will also set up data logging for high dollar experiments paid for by other countries, The bad part is that I have deducted the things they want to do are all wrong and not the best. The question is, should I tell them or simply go along with their ideas ? I thought of setting up my ideas, doing the data logging, and showing them the file, To compare the data with their ideas. It will beat their concept several times over. Then, I might be able to get a few dollars for my efforts. At times, the Redneck logic over rides my good nature and my big heart. Likely I should start a project as to the best way to neutralize all sensors installed in humans and their clothes. I am sure I could get some funding for this project. Shares only $ .50 each. I will watch for some of these clothes. would like to know the prices. I think it will be some time before this is in common use. Basically it involves existing technology, highly miniaturized, with the proper data transmission. And.......... last but not least, this could be Government Funded and is nothing but a cover up or the REAL purpose, The whole smear could be to deceive the people. This is done every day, nothing new. By the way, some of this is being applied to high dollar animals to monitor their health, ........... Animals that cost 1 million to 5 million dollars.
