Were the power supplies from PC or Main fram? Most computer PC power supplies that run Hard Drives, floppies and PC motherboards are +3.3volt ,-12 volt +5, +12 volt, -5 volt . If yours, is rated att 48 volt , it may be for a main frame, You only need a volt meter . On a pc one needs a pc part like a floppy or cd-rom to load the supply to see the voltage accross the diffrent leads or pins.A small bulb would load it to start it.
