There is a very readable book out - Selling Sickness: How the World's Biggest Pharmaceutical Companies Are Turning Us All into Patients (Nation Books, New York, 2005). It describes in great detail the process of how the Big Pharma goes about inventing disease for the purpose of drug pushing. They especially described how they could widen the 'catchment area' of people who were feeling blue. The label 'depression' would then apply to about 50% more of the population.
Oh, and I saw an interview here about I am sure a new disease in the making: Global warming anxiety or something but they hadn't agreed on a name for it as yet. Those who wake up in the morning worried about this hoax, so worried they are not functional, are said to be suffering. Watch the Big Pharma news..lol
