Nancy what are you referring to when you mention 'colloidal minerals'? Are they different from cs? Thaks. Faith g.
There are mines in Utah that are sources of what is called Humic Shale. It is basically marine sediment containing as they say 70+ elements. They use a weak acid to extract the minerals and they are in a colloidal form, which just means the particle size is small enough to be suspended in water. Most of the elements are in a very small amount, a few parts per million. The basic premise is that there is a need for some of these trace minerals that is not really understood and getting them can fix some deficiency problems. Some of the minerals are considered harmful but in such a small concentration and in the colloidal form they are not supposed to be retained in the body or cause problems, but on the contrary the minerals are claimed to act to detoxify the body and actually remove heavy metals from the body, at least that is Wallach's claim. I noticed a big increase in energy when I first started on them. Also I am 62 and have very little grey hair, though I'm also taking Fo Ti (Ho Shu Wu or Polygonum multiflorum) which is also supposed to be able to do that. It also has seemed to boost our immune systems and keep us from getting sick much over the years.
