A good beginner's book is Walter Wood's A LETTER TO ROBIN, which can be found at the American Society of Dowsers' online bookstore at: http://www.newhampshire.com/dowsers.org/ Another good one that has lots of detailed descriptions of the actual movements you make while searching for things, i.e. the path you would walk to locate an underground vein, is Tom Graves' DIVINER'S HANDBOOK.
