I don't know about injecting, but if it were me I'd mix the CS with DMSO (50/50 mix), soak a gauze pad, and apply to the infected area as a kind of poultice. Reapply as often as needed. If it's going to be several days before you are set up to make your own CS, you could buy it at your local health food store for immediate use, and buy the 99.9% pure DMSO at a feed store. I'd also be taking the CS orally several times daily.
