Hi,
You are correct. There are actually delineated "families of foods. these
foods are called "nightshade" and include also tobacco--that should be
another clue as to why these aren't the best for immune compromised persons.
The book "If it's Tuesday, It Must Be Chicken" has the list of food
families. It is listed as # 74 the potato family and it includes eggplant
,ground cherry, Peppino(melon pear) pepper)capsicum) bell, sweet, cayenne
chili, paprika, pimiento(all under pepper) potato, tobacco tomatilo, tomato
and tree tomato. these are all related in protein or molecular structure
enough so that a very allergic person may simply have symptoms from all of
them and thus need to drop this entire family for 6 months or so. It is
fascinating that the same symptoms can be caused from a bell pepper that you
get froma potato and this is the reason why.

Everyone with allergies, might want to get a copy of the food families.
Each family has several members of "like" foods that the body may see as an
allergen. On a rotating diet, one may have one item from every four days.
If the family is a popular one and one isn't allergic to these particular
foods --that is when tested, you come up with less a 1 or 2 then you may
have a food from this family every other day in one cycle. This has been
well established for eons. There are a myriad of ways to make meals without
using the same family for a motnh at a time, or by substituting a less
reactive food in the place of a more reactive food.

The book I mentioned before has meals planned by the 3 of the food family
for 15 days I believe so you can choose and never use the same food twoce in
the period. Doing this you have to have access to more different foods to
choose from. I loved Whole Foods for this reason and there is non
here--darn/ But, I have elk, venison, bufalo, rabbit, chicken, emu, for
meat and 10 different beans, 6 different flours, 5 different oils, 4
different sweeteners and so one. It takes a while to do this, but really
helps the allergy load. I am now eating 1 or 2 foods once a day and liquids
the rest because I am toxic, both from die-off(which is much improved) and
from what we think in the pfisteria plant/algae toxin that one gets from
eating contaminated deep water fish like the ahlibut I ate and haven't been
well since.

So I am doing cleansing and something I hated but is helping is
Cholestyramine, a cholesterol lowering "drug" which binds these toxins in
the gut. Interesting, but awful. Look out for the source of the fish you
eat. I used to eat a lot of fish because each fish is a family of it's own
and when you are reactive this is a great way to get protein, for a type O
without ever eating the same food twice for a long time.
