Although I have not tried this I have recommended this to several people
with a similar problem. Please let us know if it works... the problem is if
the grass is dead it may not be able to regenerate in any case.

I put in a new lawn last year and this year I have large brown (hay colored)
large areas. My lawn man said to fertilize; this I did.... the spot became
larger. He then said I had a fungus and had me sprinkle some lawn fungus
stuff on it.
Last night I was think why not try Collodial Silver... this morining I
filled a 32oz spray bottle and picked one side of the yard with the fungus and
sprayed it down. Not sure how or if it will do anything.
Anyone tried this?
