I just thought I'd do a little experiment so I set my generator on DC mode and used slightly warmed water (thanks Norm) plus a little bit of the old batch. This was three hours ago and I have just got back from Sainsburys to find all little sparkly things on the mag stirrer and one of the electrodes! It looks really pretty <lol> so I will let you know how long it takes this way. I'm wondering if the yellowness previously was caused by the fact that I tipped the CS into the bottles using a Pyrex jug which had previously been washed with detergent, although I did rinse it with DW. I now have new plastic funnels which I will keep just for this purpose. Dee
