Thanks Ruth, yes I did this today (I think Norm also suggested it) and I left a little of the old batch in the bottom of the jar. I also did it on a direct current instead of reverse polarity and it was done in five and a half hours, so that was good. I think maybe the water is really really pure and am getting a TDS meter to see if this is the case. I will wait and see if it stays clear now. This seems to take a couple of days if it is going to go yellow and so if it does, I'll have to go back to basics to see what I am doing wrong. Dee
