Agreed, and I tend to support the theory that internal inflammation is the primary cause of cholesterol plaque (and a lot of other medical conditions) and that the control of inflammation should be the primary approach. If true then cholesterol count itself is meaningless. But the identification and control of internal inflammation is easier said than done and perhaps one should try to deal with cholesterol, (esp. that existing as plaque already deposited from decades of neglect, or if one already has had heart problems or a family history of heart disease) while taking efforts to minimize inflammation. - Steve
