Dog saliva causes the silver to agglomerate into larger particles thus reflecting light in the yellow part of the spectrum. Nothing to worry about, still works fine for the dog. Just don't drink it yourself (yuck doggy spit!).

Can anyone tell me why the water should go yellow in a dogs bowl after adding perfectly clear CS? I made the CS and when I put it in my dogs stainless steel bowl, it is perfectly all right, but when my friend put the same stuff in her dogs steel bowl, it went yellow. Any help appreciated. Dee
