In my early days of cs making ,I was buying DW from Supmkts and the brew was all over the map from clear to pale yellow.to gold to shoe polish brown. I finally bought a good distiller and in the last 3 years, can remember only one batch not clear. It was pale cloudy grey because I had an emergency and forgot about it and it over-brewed.I didn't throw it out, but dilute it with dw.The silver still hasn't settled out in that batch.[made 6 months ago approx]. I took a sample of one of my first runs and kept it on the shelf, still clear, and no settling out. As for the moon affecting the brewing,I tend to believe it.If the moons gravity can pull billions of tons of water up on the beaches[salt, mineral content part of the attraction??], then how can we dispute it having an effect on a couple of pints of silvered DW? And when you see pictures highly magnified of water molecules by that Japanese Dr. ;Amoto [?];if true, kind of hard to dispute.
