No, worse than that.
The file worked fine on my local computer. I tested the link as
I always do.
After the reports that the file had a problem, I checked it, and it
did in fact have a problem.
Not the one locally, but the one on the website.
So, I deleted it, uploaded another copy, and it had a problem also.
I can only deduct that the error correcting protocol is unable to do
the CRC check properly.
I even tried the Windozze FTP program and it still had a problem.
The file is only 18 pages, but near 900 megs.
No doubt that 400 to 500,000 characters relate to proper font display
and page layout.
In ASCII, the file would be about 40 to 50 K at most. Some of the
file size is due to the graphs and images.
Not sure I trust the Windozze protocols, I trust the very old X, Y,
and Z modem more.
My FTP program is very old. Maybe it is worn out. Am working on
getting a newer one shortly.
Whatever happened was beyond my normal control. <grin>
