That is a technical and complex subject, but an important one, no less.
I have always understood that free radicals were caused by the
burning of oxygen either for breathing or the production of energy,
plus quite a lot of other factors.
The part, " A lot of other factors" is the part to be concerned with.
Interesting the way you made the statement, "Anaerobic Oxygen".
Generally the terms Aerobic and Anaerobic are used to describe
process, cells, bacteria, and related items.
I was wondering if anyone would know whether ingesting
anti-oxidents could interfere with the work the aerobic oxygen was
doing. Or whether we should take anti-oxidents as well or not.
Both Antioxidants and Free Radicals have been around since day
1, and 10,000 years before. They are normal functions of the body,
and Both have very important functions within the body.
No way to do without them, based on what facts I know.
The two key words are balance and essential, relative to
anti-oxidants and free radicals.
Without a slight understanding of atomic theory, cell theory, free electrons,
outer valence electrons, and electron sharing, it would be very hard
to understand the
items you mentioned, Antioxidants, and Free Radicals.
Of course H202 produces free radicals and the body produces H202.
So, they will exist, no matter what, and they better exist for sure.
Too many or not enough is what I meant by Balance.
If we ate enough good raw fruit, vegetables, and berries, we would
not need to worry about anti oxidants.
No doubt that modern civilization unbalances all this much more that
the cave man and primitive man experienced.
Certainly he had some problems at times, but he did not know what to call them.

Yes, I have seen this also, but it is not the only cause and effect.
The body uses free radicals to kill bacteria and infection.
Even the H202 produced by the body, produces free radicals, and the
end result is the
control of bacteria, and possibly ending of infections. ( work of
the immune system )
This is of course a never ending subject, .......... so I have to
stop someplace. <grin>
If anyone thinks what I have stated it wrong, please correct my
thinking and ideas.
I agree some statements are a bit incomplete, and some may be wrong.
Some of my knowledge and study is indeed 50 years old. Heaven forbid !
