Yes iron is involved in cancer. Most cancer cells have an excess of
iron, that is why Artemisinin is effective for cancer (Chinese wormwood)...
it reacts with iron (oxidative reaction) killing the cell. It is also used
to cure malaria... and the malaria spirochete has an exccess of iron as
well. Interesting...

IP6 also blocks iron absorption, and some say can even chelate it. I'm
reading so much about the connection between cancer and iron overload that
it seems like a good idea for anyone with cancer to get a complete iron
panel including ferritin, and find a doctor to order phlebotomies to
reduce ferritin and keep it low. IP6 could thus serve more than one
purpose, and if it does chelate iron as well as block absorption, that
might be the mechanism by which helps?
