I'll save it into my new computer. Can we print or backup bookmarks to a CD?
Yes, you can back them up, 29 ways from Sunday, maybe 199 ways.
First, I guess we define Backup the same way,
"Make another copy and store it in a safe place"
You can back up the links to a text file, or even an email.
You could send them to me, and I would store them on any one or
several of my network drives,
I would store them on any of a few servers, and you could access them.
Of....... they could be incorporated into a web page, just for you.
Some web browsers, have a built in backup, but I would never use it,
or any other backup soft ware by Microsoft, or anyone else. I
really get upset when any computer or software tries to do the thinking for me.
I will and have used xcopy for mirroring data, plus many other ways to do it.
It depends on what you know and how you think. I have a genius
friend that has several MIckey soft certifications and he tried to
tell me, all the links are in one file.
Some goofy software puts them in one file when it backs up, much like
Outlook does messages, and really messes up. There is a file size
limit also ........ as I understand it.
Never used outlook, never will, and tell my customers,.......... I do
not support it.
If you use it, you better learn it, or find some friend that knows about it.
The problem with computes, software and most people, is that..........
they will not study enough to get halfway to first base. ( not
talking about you or anyone specifically ) I have paid professional
instructors, set up classes for my computer customers, and never
charge them one dime or one dollar.
Some will understand, ..........
I developed a nice trick or backing up data over a network,
To a specific drive, .......... no matter how that drive is mapped,
Drive letter, D, E, F, or X, Y, Z, or T, or anything else.
That is a neat trick, not every redneck can do, nor can people with
19 Microsoft certifications.
One friend of mine, paid 25 K to go to a fancy computer school, then
became an instructor for the company. Of course he came to me, an
set down for me to teach him some very basic stuff, he needed to know
for a private customer he had, .......... relative to backups.
Then I have one up link consultant that wrote one program for 3
million dollars.
I do not know everything or course,
but I am waiting for the person to walk thru the door that does, I
have a question or two for him.
Many on the list, know more than I do.
Between 3 or 4 or 10 of us, we can answer 99.9999 per cent of your questions.
Back to your original question, if you could send all your links, I
could back them up
in a New York minute, or much less.
The biggest mistake that many people make is owning only one computer.
Today they are a dime a dozen, I have hauled many to the garbage that
are in fact working computers.
Get Two at least.
Computers are some of the dumbest critters alive, and the dumbest
machines also, until we teach them to think like we do.
I have always said, .......... If you cannot do the task with a
pencil and a yellow pad,
you can't do it with a computer either.

Redneck logic may not be the best, but it will beat Microsoft, and
prevail every time.
