Hello Gladys,
Having waited a few hours...just to see, if other members may respond,
it looks like (other than for Indy and a Bat)...you have again struck-out?
I'm not with [off-topic] List...so with owners OK, my brief answer follows.
Clearly off-topic turf in CS List,,,hopefully, a SILVER STAR, will qualify?
While I agree with Indy on being touched, by Armando's story/problems,
as a "Nam-Vet" myself (3-Tours/65~69, Naval Air)...I am not, going into,
asking you, or Armando for more details, but be advised...others, might!
(Not sure why you posted to CS List, or why News Media...NO Reply-?)
Personally I prefer staying in background...on Net-List & Health groups,
but on the chance, that your request may in fact be legitimate,,,I will try
to point you and your friend to the right people/services...to get HELP..?
I assure you...IF, Armando takes his DD214/(military discharge papers),
personally, to the "Post Commander" of any "VFW, or American-Legion"
POST...once they can view DD214 and verify his current (life) situation...
there are members there that will TAKE ACTION to help a VETERAN..!!!
As a long time VFW member, I suggest, he contact a local VFW POST,
near where he lives, check phone directory, or go view www.VFW.ORG .
Once on web-site, enter Mail ZIP Code...to locate a VFW POST near-by.
With Armando being actual Combat-Vet, he should already be in VFW..?
American-Legion is open to all Military Vets, VFW...only, to Combat-Vet!
Also, might contact a local, "American-Legion" Post @ www.legion,org ,
American-Legion has over 3-million members and VFW...over 1.6 million.
As third option, with a "Purple-Heart"...Google, [order of purple heart org]?
With reaching age 65...Social Security Pension is there, also Disability..?
Many with PTSD & Serious Depresion, help options are over-looked, until,
another Brave War Vet may be lost forever...friends like Gladys, Can Help!
I assure you IF Armando's Story is TRUE, as presented...HELP-Is-There!!!
Hopefully above Links will answer your needs, if not contact me, by email?
As for being evicted into street on Thanksgiving day, not so...next day yes!
Stories of Homeless Vets found dead in streets are are very sad and tragic
part of REAL World we live in, but VFW & Legion members HELP if asked!
Veterans day was one week ago, but people should thank Vets Every Day!
Thanks Mike, for letting this FLY and hopefully...it will not keep-on posting?
(LoL, maybe Wayne's busy eating Dead Rats/(Not Bat) and won't read this)
Vets HELP other Vets,
BATzCUZ=yahoo, com (remove = and replace with @ to fool Enemy Spies)
