Dear Terry, Thanks for the info. I found it interesting, and can only echo your advice to eat well. However I found the detail in your first missive raised many questions in my mind, especially the details concerning mineral assimilation and pH adjustment. We had quite a long thread recently, which discussed the role of minerals, calcium, pH and breathing etc. In the course of that I amassed quite a lot of information which does not correlate to your statements. And I must say that the concentration upon calcium supplementation is worrying. Most calcium problems as far as I understand are not related to calcium at all but rather the deficiency or over-supply of other minerals, such as magnesium, silica, and phosphorus. Calcium problems also have a direct relationship to the neutralising of acid input and wastes.
Such statements such as high and low energy calcium leave me confused. You make no distinction between blood pH, urine pH or stomach pH and yet talk about the absorption of minerals and nutrients requiring a balanced pH. What does that mean? Also you say that "Reams maintained that pH is an expression of one's calcium condition, not diet (acid or alkaline-forming foods), with one exception: The more DEmineralized a person was (including and especially calcium), the more their pH's (and the rest of their numbers) would fluctuate" which pH fluctuates, urine? If you ingest a high amount of acid forming foods then there is no escape from the fact that the body's net pH falls, becomes more acid. The section on mineral supplements and mineral chemistry is so full of inaccuracies and contradictions that It does not make sense to me. You dismiss colloidal mineral supplements that contain other ingredients because the minerals will bind with these ingredients (lemon juice, etc.) but then go on to explain that the body deionises (should that be ionises) food in order to absorb it. The product you sell (which is the best, of course) is nothing more than dried food-bound minerals. And so on... I have no beef with your stressing the importance of mineral supplementation and proper pH balance etc. but the way you argue for this, seems to me to be flawed. I do not wish to be personal at all and wish you the very best, and I suppose you realise that if you post such information, it will be scrutinised.
