So sorry about all the pain you are suffering. It sounded like you were
in so much pain beforehand, it drove you to doing something right away.
Now you have to get over the hump of the extraction, which ought to be
improving each day. Time heals all wounds, they say, and it will
probably be true here too.
No one can decide for you, just tell you what they or others have done.
My hubby had many root canals, continuous infections and pain for so
many years, until it affected more and more teeth, and he had to have
them out anyway, and some others that were fine before. He was so happy
after they pulled it, he felt better the same day, although he did have
pain from the extraction. He ended up having to have more pulled after
too. He wears a partial and doesn't complain about any pain any more.
This is after so many years of suffering with the root canals that did
not work. I know of 2 other close friends that had the same story.
My own dad had alot of his teeth pulled when he was in the Navy in the
second world war. They told him that it would never heal up right,
unless they did that. This was before the dentists discovered root
canals, or maybe they knew but did not perform them. He has worn false
teeth ever since, and has lived a happy life.
It sounds like you were very traumatized by the extraction. Please be
very careful with the hole, take good care of yourself, it will heal
probably very soon. Have you considered taking some homeopathics? They
do help with the after effects, there is one for puncture wounds that
is good for this, also arnica for pain, and rescue remedy for trauma.
- just saying what I have used, you might consider it worth taking.
Best Wishes and speedy healing,
Kathryn

When faced with this dilemma and being informed of the chronic
toxicity to the immune system of all root canals I chose extraction.
Hulda Clark,Huggins, Jerome, Cook, biological dentists and many of you
were opposed to root canal. They are dead tissue being kept in the
body and breed virulent organisms that attack the immune system. Yet I
have found that most people have 2-3 and are in excellent health. Many
have had them for 25 years! Do all with root canals compromise their
bodies leading to degenerative disease and cancer? That's what the
experts profess. Would they all be better off with extractions, bone
atrophy and a lifetime of artificial materials the rest of their
lives? Endotonists who make a living doing root canal say no,
biological dentist say yes. All I know is that I had a brutal
extraction with very strong roots and now have a huge hole, trauma and
no good options besides a temporary removable partial to remind of
that day forever!
