Agreed.
I've collected rain water off a tin roof that even has an overhanging oak
branch and it tested out pretty darn pure..
It had rained hard for a while first, though.
If you take a sheet of clean plastic, tie the corners to 4 stakes and punch
a hole in the middle to place a collection container under...you get more
control.
Just let it rain a while to clean the *air*.
Prolly won't work well if you live down wind of a coal plant.
France is Nuke, but Germany and England are mostly coal?

I think at that price I would try to catch rain in a large pain. If you
can let it rain for a while before setting the pan out, then retrieve it
after a short time especially if there is a downpour, you can get some
pretty pure water. Of course you need to be away from power lines, trees
or anything else that could drip into the pan.

My son & family are visiting relatives in France.
He wanted to make some CS & bought a liter
of distilled water and cost around 8 dollars.
They had to buy it at a pharmacy as the grocery
store didn't carry it.
Anyone in France have cheaper connections ?
