Do keep in mind it is best to use oral DMSO on an EMPTY
stomach, as it
will react with food and cause some discomfort in the form
of nausea. It
can also cause a very short lived headache, maybe 10
minutes, due to
vasodilation I presume.
I have used DMSO internally in people, horses, dogs and
cats. Dr Stanley
Jacob's in his book MSM the Definitive Guide, in which he
devotes some
space to DMSO, mentions 4cc daily as a safe dose. Many have
used more
orally as well as IV.
I have used it orally in my horses, cats and dogs and SQ in
dogs. For the dogs
and cats I put it in milk, 4cc at a time. Chicken broth
works well too and can be
kept in the pantry for times you do not have milk. It has
helped with closed head
injuries and eye injuries in my cats and dogs. Also with hip
pain in an older dog.
I mixed it with CS to kick a relapse of the flu. Felt better
in one hour and only
took one dose. About 4cc DMSO in 1/2 c 10 ppm EIS, that I
made with an SG6.
There are members of the DMSO list that have taken both less
and more
with various observations reported.
It is helpful to also take 1-2 T liquid chlorophyll to
prevent the garlic breath
effect that DMSO is well known for. Not everyone experiences
this at low
doses or with topical use. It varies from person to person.
Some use the chewable Chlorophyll tabs but personally I got
better results
with the liquid than 100 mg of the chewable tabs.
I invite you to join the DMSO List and join our discussions.
You can search the
archives for posts on oral use.
