Indeed. I started reading sci fi at about 10 or 12 years old. When I was
in my 50's my mother saw a book I was currently reading and sniffed "Are
you still reading that ridiculous stuff? I thought you would grow out of
it." Never have, never will.
My only problem is over the past couple of decades with the rise of
endless shallow series books it gets more difficult to find good solid
"stuff " to read. When I was a kid, there was so much really well done
and well written sci fi, not so much fantasy. Paradise.
(I'm old, the good old days really were good!).
