Mac is way more expensive, I'm told even more so in the U.K. To me it's worth it because nothing else works as well for my needs, but for light use windows is sufficient for many people. It's the business people who use windows for "mission critical" stuff who are penny wise and pound foolish. Of course it does create a lot of work for a lot of people, so I can't complain too loudly. :)
