Relative to using your Koi pond bentonite, I read from one bentonite
supplier that the top 12 in. of a bentonite deposit is sold for Koi pond
use. The next 12 to 24 in. is sold for bath and animal feed use. And
everything below that is sold for human consumption. I don't know if all
suppliers follow a similar rule but you may find that info helpful.
Personally I would probably go ahead and use it.

Subject: CS>Mud, Clay - was Sting

Hey Malcolm,

I had always wondered why some adults would use mud for stings. Now I
think I know - it would be the same idea behind Steve's suggestion to
use bentonite clay! I bought some a while back (package says it's made
for use in fish ponds) to use in my fish aquarium, and have been
wondering if it would be ok for topical and/or oral use along with CS.
I need more hours in the day for researching the many various things I
want to know more about... >grin<

Thanks!
Ruth
