Friday evening 6-19-09: My wife wasn't feeling too good when she got home and said she felt irritated down there. She has been taking 75-100 mgs of Lugol's for her breast lump then early this week switched over to Magnascent when we got the new 16 oz bottle of 2%. Eventually it came to light tonight that she made a mistake and was taking 10 drops 3 times a day instead of 5 drops, since we are using 2%, not 1% Magnascent. Friday we also got our first bottle of Cayce/Hoxsey Blood Cleanser from John at Magnascent and she took her first 1/2 tsp before supper.
By 9:30 she had a full blown UTI. I think all the iodine was forcing the bacteria out of her system into her bladder. By 9:45 she was worried about having to go to the ER for emergency ABX's. It was obvious to me that iodine was not the cure, at least not this time. I went to the computer to look up my files on UTI and found Brooks Bradley's suggestions for Colloidal Silver, Gatorade and DMSO. She started on 1 oz CS every 5 minutes, then I ran to the store for some Gatorade and she mixed and drank about 2 oz every 5 minutes of 1/3 CS, 2/3 Gatorade and one drop of DMSO. By 10:30 it was "not getting any worse" which was real good news. 10:45 she took two Alka-Seltzer, supposed to be good for a UTI but not advertised as such. I got her some cranberry juice but she had not taken it yet as of 10:55. (She didn't take it at all that night.) By 11 pm it was not getting worse. She went to bed by midnight with irritation slightly decreased. Sometime during the night it was almost all over. By Saturday morning she still had just a little twinge or irritation. By Sunday it was gone altogether. This is the first such sudden UTI she has had since we have been into alternatives, for 10 years now. Before, she could have a UTI attack anywhere, anytime and would have to call her doctor to get an emergency ABX scrip. I think this happened because of iodine and MSM together forcing out dormant pathogens, which were not going to leave without putting up a fight.
