Hi Sam, There are a number of things that cause sinus filling or irritation besides infection. Hay fever is one, several medications either prescribed or over-the-counter can also do it, and they don't necessarily cause a reaction right after you take them. My reason for mentioning this is that you may be causing enough irritation with the other things you are doing in conjunction with, well, who knows what, to have yourself a vicious circle going. Sometimes a new pillow or blanket, a new source of dust in the room, new "fresh scent" laundry detergent or something completely unexpected can trigger it; some people are even triggered by a new light source. My suggestion is to avoid the "kitchen sink", try the things that are gentlest one or two at a time and give the sensitive tissues time to heal so whatever environmental or other irritant is present doesn't have such an easy time provoking a reaction. After three weeks those tissues are in an uproar, they're part of your body's first line of defense. When I have used CS I'll spritz and breathe in at the same time, in each nostril and down the throat, do that perhaps every hour until I've drained, then keep doing it some more (I also hit my eyes with a spritz or so - makes a difference.) Hope it gets better for you, Malcolm
