Recently read of the concept "biological individualism" referring to
how supplements affect us all differently, slightly or dramatically.
Its probably true of taste too.
Here's my curious experience working with people who experienced odd
tastes. When I volunteered in a hospice, aprox. 1 in 7 patients would
decide they were "being poisoned." That all the fluids they were
given tasted toxic. Often they showed symptoms of toxins, thin white
foam around the mouth, jaundiced looking skin & such. My response
that often worked was to make a very strong version of whatever they
had asked for, tea, lemon, etc. Then they would comment that I had
made it too strong, but at least it wasn't toxic! My conclusion was
that they were tasting their own toxins with pure water & not liking
it. They were probably tasting the medications their body was trying
to eliminate too. The strong taste I provided may be over riding the
tastes already in their mouths. The 2 diseases I remember this
happening with were cancer & failed kidneys.
So in addition to the sense of taste being about what we need, it may
also be about what we have in us. Distilled water does in did taste
bad to me & I conclude thats really ME I'm tasting.
Makes me wonder how I would react if I ever met myself? :)
Do you know what sol? I think it is not so much the taste of the
fluid but our own taste buds! I came to this conclusion because my
hubby and I can eat or drink the same substance and get two
completely different tastes from it! My distilled water comes
straight from the bottle and I have to say, that both of us think
it tastes ghastly! It also makes me thirsty. Yet I had a friend
over who doesn't drink tea or coffee and she tried it and thought
it was really good! My husband thinks our tap water is foul,
whereas I think it tastes all right, so there we go. Also, if I
put my cell salts into tap water, there is no taste to speak of,
but if I put them into distilled water, they taste really strongly
of lemon! Someone said somewhere that it is the things our bodies
need that causes the difference in taste, so who knows? dee

Do you use the charcoal post filter? I don't use them, and my
distilled water tastes wonderful, clean and fresh. Now, any other
water tastes foul to me, like I can taste every awful chemical in
it, even double filtered water and bottled water.
