Just don't water it until it starts to shrivel, then it will
replump and be fine.
They like to be really dry most of the time because they
store the water.

That would add more silver to the pulp? Good idea. I don't have an aloe
plant anymore myself, it is one of those things I manage to kill off
quickly. I have a real black thumb for succulents......maybe I should
try another one.
