Get over it, it was an insensitive remark with no regard for the other person, simple as that, we all make mistakes.
It's been dealt with, and dealt with in a harmless and jocular manner so leave it alone, unless you're so full of self importance you feel a need to continue it in the interest of making some point, I'm sure everyones got the point by now. And if Daves got half a brain he'll be understanding and accept the backlash with good grace anyway, let it go for gods sake.
