I have a Walgreen's Personal Ultrasonic Humidifier. I was going to use it to nebulize some CS with DMSO added for a sore throat that has been hanging on.
Fortunately, I decided to make sure that no residue was left in the humidifier that would be dissolved by the DMSO, so I added some DMSO and proceeded to clean out the reservoir. This seemed to have a funny feel so I rinsed it out right away with water. The inside of the plastic reservoir had turned an opaque milky color. So, it appears that the DMSO was reacting to the actual plastic material of the Humidifier. It's a good thing I checked or I would have been inhaling some sort of dissolved plastic along with my CS!... So, a word to the wise; check out that your device does not react with DMSO before using... Dan -- The Silver List is a moderated forum for discussing Colloidal Silver.
