Yup
Google "Copper Toxicity"
Also look at "Cupro/Silver Staining"
Both copper and silver have an affinity for damaged nerve tissues and
the combination is used to identify those tissue in cadavers...which speaks
NOTHING about what may have "caused" the damage BTW. [ And Aluminum found
in the brain is a *result* of having Altzeimers, not the cause, as Aluminum
is one of the MOST common elements on the planet and cannot be avoided ]
Silver toxicity studies have shown that HUGE doses of Silver can cause
nerve necrosis which I doubt is true as Silver has no biological function,
but shares a regulation system with Copper, which does and DOES damage
nerves if in excess....and is very hard to avoid, being extremely common in
foods etc.
So, it's more likely that the huge doses of Silver overwhelmed the
ability to regulate Copper ....and the excess Copper did the damage...but
they found Silver in the damaged cells because it has an affinity for
damaged nerves [like Copper] ..but not being focused on Copper as none was
introduced, didn't look for that. But it was already there in circulation
where it doesn't do harm, waiting for that drastic imbalance to allow it
entry to where it does do harm.
..which reminds me to mention chelation therapy to my sister for her
boyfriend who has Altzeimers.
"Look like" Selenium plays a role there too..and Aluminum, Selenium
and Sodium Fluoride all get into bed with each other and have some sort of
chemical sex.
..too complicated for me, but some intelligent individual with a good
reason to figure it out may benefit from the clue.
..and my Uncle with Parkinsons, who also operated diesel powered heavy
equipment for years... a major source of mercury vapors and lives
where strip mine lake water is literally green with copper oxides [unless
that's algae]...with coal strip mines everywhere...coal, another big source
of mercury...and who know how much natural fluoride.
Selenium, Vit E and Cilantro, anyone?
Could be for more than just de-smurfing.
Also see EDTA therapy.
...and if you have nerve problems, you might not want to go real heavy with
the silver...not because of the silver, but because of all the other stuff
sharing that regulatory system.

L-Methionine An amino acid that assists in many of the detoxification
mechanisms in the body. DL-Methionine chelates heavy metals such as lead.
Plays an important role in some drug-detoxifying pathways. A diet
"deficient in methionine causes premature atherosclerosis", which is fatty
fibrous plaques which can diminish arterial flow.
L-Glutathione Our most powerful amino acid antioxidant which the body uses
to rid itself of free radical-oxidizing agents and heavy metals that
accumulate within the body after disease and sickness, Glutathione can
cross the blood-brain barrier, it can remove mercury, cadmium and other
toxic metals from the brain. A powerful free radical scavenger and
antioxidant that removes unwanted substances from the body.
Magnesium It improves the metabolic efficiency of the myocardium (heart
muscle) and reduces angina when other measures fail. Magnesium displaces
toxic heavy metals from the body. "In chelation therapy magnesium helps the
coronary arteries to relax and open up so that a greater amount of blood
can flow through them", writes Dr. Morton Walker in the Chelation Way.
Selenium Selenium chelates heavy metals such as cadmium, lead, mercury and
silver. It is important for the protection of heart cells and other cells
against oxidative damage. It has been observed that as selenium absorption
decreases, cardiovascular disease increases. Its deficiency is associated
with hypercholesterolemia (high level of fat in the blood).
Vitamin B1 (Thiamin) Antioxidant nutrient that helps the body to inhibit
the formation of the damaging free radicals. Vitamin B1 chelates heavy
metals such as lead. It is effective in the treatment of uneven heartbeat,
low blood pressure and chest pain.
Vitamin E A very potent antioxidant. As an antioxidant, it protects the
body from free radicals. Vitamin E chelates heavy metals such as mercury.
It is important in protecting cell membranes from oxidative destruction. It
is the king of cardiovascular nutrients.
Zinc ---Zinc chelates heavy metals such as cadmium and lead. Its deficiency
is associated with hypercholesterolemia (increased fats in the blood).
Bioflavonoids Bioflavonoids are color producing pigments found in plants.
Bioflavonoids are antioxidants, known for their ability to chelate (bond
with and remove) metals from the body. They reduce blood cell stickiness
and decrease bleeding from small, fragile vessels.
Calcium Essential for healthy bones, CNS (Central Nervous System), muscle
and cardiac function. Its deficiency is associated with hypertension and
palpitations. Calcium has been known to displace toxic metals from the
body. It replaces the calcium that is lost by chelating substances.
Lipoic Acid (Thioctic Acid) An extremely powerful antioxidant capable of
trapping many different types of free radicals in the body, and also is
able to chelate (pull out) heavy metals such as lead, cadmium and
mercury.
Chlorella A freshwater, nutritive, single-celled green algae super food, a
regenerative tonic, blood builder, anti-viral, anti-biotic, and
anti-carcinogenic that enhances the immune system. It facilitates heavy
metals being removed from the body. Chlorella can mobilize mercury from
inside the brain and from non-neurological structures (muscles, ligaments,
connective tissue and bone).
EDTA EDTA (ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid) is an amino acid. EDTA is so
effective at removing unwanted minerals and metals from the blood. A widely
known treatment for lead, mercury, aluminum and cadmium poisoning.
L-Cysteine An amino acid. Cysteine acts as a complexing agent by attaching
itself to the lead and carrying it out of the body. It is a heavy metal
scavenger and liver protector. It chelates mercury and arsenic while
providing antioxidant effects on all metals. It is sometimes used to
improve cholesterol ratios and to help lessen the risk of coronary artery
disease.
L-Lysine An amino acid involved in the structural repair of damaged blood
vessels. It has a beneficial effect on lead toxicity and high blood pressure.
Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid) An antioxidant in its own right, vitamin C also
helps to protect us from heavy metals, particularly lead and arsenic which
can poison certain enzyme reactions in your body. Vitamin C has displacing
and detoxifying actions on lead, mercury, and chemical poisons. It protects
artery linings by making them more resistant to the kind of injury that
permits plaque formation. It is also used to protect us from the effects of
environmental pollution and is a free radical fighter.
It is recommended that you add these to your diet as much as possible
Garlic (active ingredient-allicin) Chelates heavy metals such as cadmium,
gold, lead and mercury, and acts as a detoxifier.
Cilantro (Chinese Parsley) Cilantro is the leafy part of a common herb
whose seed, coriander, is a familiar culinary spice. Shown in clinical
trials and research to mobilize mercury, lead tin and other toxic metals
stored in the brain and spinal cord and moves them rapidly out of those
tissues. This is a revolutionary discovery and makes Cilantro the first
known substance that mobilizes mercury from the CNS (Central Nervous System).

The toxic in very small amounts trace element [micronutrient] Selenium

Logically, if you have any nerve problems and live were copper is
overly common, it might be copper toxicity and it would pay to check
into Selenium levels before indulging in the use of a lot of Silver.
