Dear Lew,
If I understand your question, I would have to say that first I
research the subject as thoroughly as posible. Then I focus my mind on
it and concentrate to the exclusion of all disturbances. This is true
for lab or written work. People often say the place could burn down and
I wouldn`t know it. :-)
