Only the descriptive language has been restricted in Europe, not the product.
..and every page a search engine will pull up is an advertisement.
What they can't do anymore is make misleading ads and those that
do.."Steven"..aren't doing anyone any favors, not even themselves in the
long run as the definition of misleading will get crunched down further and
further with every violation of clearly stated ad copy and every
manipulative scam piece con designed to sell, not on merits of the product,
but taking advantage of a promoted fear that attacks those designated to
protect us from scammers [and, unfortunately, from ourselves as far as that
can go.]
The FDA, however misguided some of it's actions may be, actually believes
in what it does and has the power to do it, like it or not.
They've tried to stay "hands off" and turn a blind eye using their OWN
version of muddled language so as to not look like they don't know
anything. [FDAs "Final Word" 1999 ]
The use of that phrase "Final Word" says we don't want to look, so behave
yourselves and don't hand us reasons to.
" Baiting " them isn't going to help.
The more muddled and abusive "we" get with our freedom of speech, the more
restrictive they'll get.
Thanks a lot for the fire in the theater, Barwick.
