Makes sense, except that silver will kill both types...so location and
media matters.
..doesn't do well on an Agar plate, but does in a broth.
The difference? Mobility.
If it can't move, it can only kill what it contacts and if the
concentration isn't high, it won't contact much.
If the replication rate of the organism is higher than the kill rate, you
may get some degree of control, but not get rid of it.
So what might be the "mechanics" of the plumbing ?
Perhaps the bowel has a slithery layer with a thickness to it to keep the
semi solids moving and to keep poop as poop contained within itself, so
contact would only be on the outside of that layer, while flora permeate
it. [??]
Only the outside surface of a bullet touches the barrel, but the bullet is
all lead.
Coat that barrel with Teflon....

certain BACTERIA ARE ESSENTIAL TO HEALTHY BODY FUNCTION. SEVERAL

DIRECTLY, BUT RATHER DECOMPOSES CERTAIN ENZYMES THE ANAEROBIC BACTERIA,

ALSO THE REASON BACTERIA CANNOT DEVELOP A RESISTANCE TO SILVER, AS THEY DO
