Hello Chuck,

You can do that even more effectively if you use HCl as the activator. HCl
will release all of the available chlorine dioxide from the sodium chlorite.
This allows you to use less sodium chlorite and still get the job done.
There is actually a comerical product that is designed to do this, and it
works very well.

HCl is adjusted to 1.2 times the concentration of the sodium chlorite and is
added at a 1:1 ratio.

The main caution is not to spill because the solution can bleach.

Tom

Subject: CS>Mike Monett---Mold & MMS

Mike,
If you're still on the silver list...

Came across another mold fighter that did this experiment:

>We took a very moldy Nissan Pathfinder and put a Pyrex pie plate in it
>with 7 droppers of MMS and 7 droppers of 50% citric acid in it. The car
>was at a slant so liquid ran to one side. The treatment ran all night.
>
>This morning the inside of the car smells like bleach which I interpret
>to mean that the MMS was not fully used up in the process. The car
>tests as being mold free.
----------------------------------------------------------

Just a FYI.

Chuck
Of course it's safe. Go on in, I'll be right behind you.
