[carolg]  Probably most know this but I didn't.  Giving dog
her supplement pills vet would recommend peanut butter or something like
that.  We don't do that. We used to have to pry her mouth opened, but now
the magic is done this way: Take ground meat and put her pill in it.  She
loves her meat and gets down her supplement.  No more being mean to her to
get her to take her supplements. It works too.

In addition to raw chopped beef, we use chicken hearts. Whole
heart has naturally-occurring “pockets” that even large capsules
can fit into.
