Now that you mention that i once got runners toe from poorly fitting running shoes, i had just started jogging. the whole toenail came off and after that i got a toenail fungal infection, so i went on a anti Candida diet and it went away. i was also told that i may have gotten the fungus from a locker room shower floor at a gym and it is highly contagious, this was after the toenail came off. I personally believe that the first step in healing pretty much anything is: A. Getting more oxygen to the blood and B. Helping your body to use it efficiently. There are many ways to accomplish each of these and if you find the one that works best for you then it's easier to stick with it. Then of course there's detoxification and treating the ailment, etc. I attended a class in Pennsylvania at The Institutes for the Achievement of Human Potential on maximizing the brains potential in individuals with physical and learning disabilities and ONE of the many things i learned was that they have chronically oxygen starved brains. Back in the early days of IAHP they found that People with epilepsy had too much fluid around their brain, pair that up with decreased blood flow and it is a recipe for disaster to the body, then as a survival mechanism the body reacts by seizure, the end result of a seizure is increased oxygen to the brain. But what they also discovered was that giving oxygen to these patients caused them to go into immediate seizure, the solution ended up being to have them breath into a mask because then they would take in their own carbon dioxide which acts as a vasodilator and this decreased and in many cases stopped them from happening. Once when my son was hopitalized his blood oxygen level dropped dangerously low but every time we tried to put the mask on him he would scream and cry, every time he did this his blood oxygen level would go back up again (survival mechanism). On the other hand a long term affect of stress can cause lack of proper breathing. T

Well yes -- usually, but not always. I'm familiar with the theory about that -- but not sure I buy it. About a million people do, and don't get fungal nail infections. There has to be more to it. Ya know, it occurred to me this morning that I think this (thumb)nail sustained an injury last Summer -- I clobbered one of my fingers with a hammer. I think it was this thumb (left hand). And most women's toes (especially big toes) are abused on a regular basis once they are old enough for nylons/fashion shoes/high heels/etc. Seems like trauma to the nail would present an opportunity for infection, doesn't it? That sliver of ice under the nail would qualify. I have known women who wear nail polish regularly to develop fingernail fungus. I also knew a bartender who got a sliver of ice under the nail and ended up with a fungus infection. I would also be interested in knowing more about the use of Aussie Bush Essences for physical issues. I have used them more for emotional issues. Thanks. This is something that I've been thinking about for the past couple of days. Fungal toenails are *supposed* to be caused from the fact that toes spend most of their lives closed up in a dark, damp place -- shoes. OK -- but thumbs don't have that problem. So what am I doing with a thumbnail infection? I had concluded that it has to be something systemic. I wondered about circulation -- but don't believe I have a problem there, nor do I seem to have any heart problems. But the thyroid issue -- I suspect that I am hypothyroidic, and have begun to spend some time trying to learn more about that. Would you be willing to share how you used Australian Bush Flower Essences? Also, are you saying then, that you have not yet overcome the fungal infections? Thanks. MA From: Louise Larabie [email protected] What I did for my toe fungus over the years is try the homeopathic remedies (none worked) because of a lack of a good diagnosis (low thyroid can cause this problem, heart problems and poor circulation) Once I started to use the Australian Bush Flower Essences Dynamis and treating my low adrenals I could see a good difference in the growth of good nail slowly moving over and making a narrower infected nail :o))) I can see now why the usual remedies did not affect the fungal toe infections (large toes only) because the underlying problem was not being addresses. For others one should look to other health problems with could be causing the fungal problem. -- The Silver List is a moderated forum for discussing Colloidal Silver.
