Looked up the charcoal ingredients again, Kingsford, and it is nitrate, I hope I did not write nitrite.

My experience lately has been the impossibility of finding Deli-meats ,ie Bacon,Ham,etc. preserved with NITRATE, which does have some benefical attributes.However, NITRITE is what I do find, and that one is highly detrimental to ones health.Harold
