On our silver list for EPM horses, a new member has posed a couple of questions -- as seen below. I have replied to him, indicating what I believe the answers to be -- but would sure love some additional input from the knowledgeable people here. Would anyone who has an answer to these questions, please respond? Specifically -- what would account for higher ppm-levels from batch to batch, with the same water and same setting on a generator? And why would his product turn a "dark blue-gray" color when exposed to sunlight for 10 minutes? Thanks!! MA
Friday I finally made it to the shed before the unit shut off. Started the unit at 5:30pm, I checked at 8:00am and it was still processing then at 8:30am the green light was off and the red light was on bright. So 15hrs, brewed 7qts, dial set on 4 and tested at 8ppm. The last 2 times I got to the shed at 20 and 23hrs with the same settings and it tested at 11ppm so I guess it does make a stronger brew if you do not unplug the unit and remove the electrodes when it quits processing. I re-use 20oz Gatorade bottles to store some of the brew while I'm making a new batch. The bottles are clear plastic and normally never leave the shed but a few days ago I took a bottle out in the sun to syringe it into my horse's mouth while he was munching hay. He did not mind and very little dribbled out because the hay in his mouth held it. But, within 10min in the sun the liquid was a fairly dark blue-gray color. Does that alter the brew? Is it still okay to feed it like that? The brew in the shed stays clear. __._,_.___ Recent Activity: Visit Your Group Equine Solutions Network www.equinesolutionsnetwork.org MARKETPLACE Do More for Dogs Group.
