Hi folks, I'm in and out and not keeping as close watch as I would like to, so the current conversation on religion and spiritual matters, with even a little politics thrown in, has gone on longer than I normally would like. Please remember the following section of the list rules (from www.silverlist.org):

Brief greetings, thanks, and prayer requests or offerings are > acceptable. The occasional "God bless", or "you're in our prayers" > will not be seen as a transgression. Modest tag lines or signature > files may also be used. Admittedly, the discussion has been handled fairly well thus far, but it truly is too far afield for the main list, first, because of the large potential for offending people, and second, the more esoteric areas of discussion can also drive people away who are not to the point of being able to take such things seriously. It would be sad to deprive someone of the use of CS because we scared them off at a time when they were vulnerable, would it not? It would be well to explore these topics more on the Off Topic list, which only members of the main list can post to. You will need to subscribe; instructions are found at the list web site...
