Anywhere I live, I always scout the area around my house for a good spring, in case of any kind of emergency. I have a nice one that is within walking distance of my house that I bet 99% of the people in my neighborhood don't even know exists. I also know where one is that is within walking distance of my daughter's house as well.

I remember as a kid, not far from here my parents would go to get water from a pipe coming out of the ground from a deep spring. Nobody seems to remember where it was, but I remember the water tasting unbelievable. Sure wish I could find one close.

Most likely. Unopened bottles of distilled water should be uncontaminated. Springs would likely be still rather pure. Even tap water run through a charcoal filter would most likely have the vast majority of radioactivity removed.
