Hey Del, One other thing I forgot to mention, is that the tick has to be infected with Lyme Spirochetes for her to be infected. Could be that the tick that bit her was not a carrier. You never know what else it has though. Also, at your local pet shop you can purchase for around $3-$4 a tick removal tool called a Tick Twister. It twists them out below the neck so as to not squeeze the contents of their stomach into the bite. sash --------------------------------
