I did think about the aluminum in fluoride filters but haven't removed them as yet.
That is alumina (not aluminum) in the water filters. Alumina is aluminum oxide. It is crystalline hard like sand and does not put aluminum into the water you filter with it...to get out fluorides of course
Clays often have aluminum compounds in them that do not poison people
