Good question. The web site and some of my more "formal" postings are plastered with that big disclaimer for this reason. Others routinely include some kind of caution like "I'm not a doctor" etc... As my friend the lawyer says, "Any fool with a hundred bucks can file a lawsuit", and no disclaimer will prevent them. But this issue is really only coming up because of *wider* dissemination of the info, not in any fundamental change to the public nature of our posting here. Anyone is still free to subscribe and lurk, and any number of people may have copies of our old messages. I'll kick around an idea or two with e-scribe. Maybe we can get an auto disclaimer in there somewhere. Certainly there will be one on the web site links to the archive. But still, *I* cannot protect *you*, but only myself. And not very much, at that. Those are my (non-lawyerly) thoughts. Anyone else? Be well, Mike D.
