So the pine part of this was roots?
Or was it just any part of the wood?

A native American remedy for acne was to boil white pine and Oregon
grape roots, then drink the tincture one whiskey shot at a time
whenever you like go past the refrigerator. My son and a Canadian
native American did this when he was a teenager and the acne was gone
and never bothered him again. I was wondering what was in the roots
and maybe the answer is turpentine. She wanted to use silver pine from
Canada but all we have here is white pine, so it worked also.
