Thanks Marshall, That is very good advice. I had a brief chat to someone who does essential oil distilling and they were at first keen to do turpentine but then said that it would have to be a big plentiful amount because of the clean up before and after. My thinks are to perhaps make a dedicated still in the near future.
How did they handle the pine tar in the good old days. It was a product of the industy. umm there was a PineTar and Honey cough remedy; Vicks I think There used to be a turpentine industry locally here in south africa but it seems to have died out.
