Hi PT. He's had a rough week -- slow recovery from the anesthesia, low hemoglobin levels requiring blood transfusions, an episode of atrial fibrillation which they brought under control with drugs (so far, so good), no appetite, etc. We're at the point of discharge from the hospital, and they want him to go directly to a rehab facility -- but question the advisibility of a 9+ hour drive to get him to one near home. They may admit him to one here in Cleveland, in which case I will go home and then come back to get him when he's ready. So right now it's a waiting game.
Thanks for asking -- I appreciate your concern.
