> Hi James, I don't know the consequences of having only 25% of beneficial flora left in your gut. For people with healthy systems it probably does no harm and they do fine -- although beneficial flora produce many of our vitamins, especially B vitamins. If you were on a maintenence dose of cs and thus permanently killing off good flora I suppose you could end up with vitamin deficiencies and imbalances. If it was short term cs use and your body was fairly healthy I expect that the beneficial flora would reproduce quickly. However, for those of us with candida and already severe imbalances in flora it could be hard to re-acheive balance. However, I think that most things that kill candida also kill beneficial flora. I know that GFSE does. So I don't know, but am curious too.
